The Scarecrow and his Servant

Based on a book by Philip Pullman. While a small boy, Jack, shelters from a thunderstorm, a flash of lightning strikes a pea-brained, turnip-headed Scarecrow - and he comes to life! ‘The Scarecrow and his Servant’ was performed from 10 December 2008 to 10 January 2009.

The Magic City

Returning to the Pleasance Dome for the Edinburgh Fringe 2008 with another children's fantasy based on a book by E. Nesbit.

Shafted

A murder mystery with a psychological twist, an original play about a murder that takes place in the confines of a stalled lift.

‘Shafted’ was performed at Rocket Venues as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the play then transferred to the Etcetera Theatre in London at the end of August.

The Enchanted Castle
Director, Performer

Directed a new adaptation of children’s fantasy "The Enchanted Castle". The show celebrated the 100th anniversary of the novel by E. Nesbit and was a great success throughout the Fringe 2007.

The show included original poster designs by Quentin Blake and an original score.

Dracula
Director, Performer, Adapter
(Downing College Gardens, Downing Dramatic Society/Peaceful Lion Productions)
Directed a unique large scale event, set at night in an eerily lit clearing. The show provided an opportunity to experience the challenges of staging a production that is both technically complex and set outdoors.
"Enriching the atmosphere and chilling the audience... the production is extremely well conceived" (Varsity)
The script was closely based on the original gothic novel by Bram Stoker and written especially for the production.

Alice Through the Looking-Glass

Worked as a producer for InsideOut's 'Alice Through the Looking-Glass' at the Edinburgh Fringe 2006.

The show focused on the mystery and excitement in the tension between childhood and adulthood that intersects Carroll's work.

The Secret Garden

Directed an adaptation of 'The Secret Garden' set outside in a garden during the summer of 2006.
"Sparkling scenes... which tugged suitably at the heart strings" (TCS)
The show featured an extended ballet sequence.
